Our story
Born in a settler cottage. At home in Walmer.
In 2006, Vovo Telo opened its doors in a restored settler cottage in Richmond Hill, Port Elizabeth. The name came home from a surfing trip to Madagascar and a small hotel called Vo Vo Telo. The bread came from a simpler idea: bake it properly, from scratch, every day.
That idea grew into bakeries across South Africa, from the V&A Waterfront to Sandton. And every one of them traces back to this city. The Walmer bakery keeps the original flame burning: artisan loaves, golden pastries and honest coffee, twenty years on.
